For twenty years, Attorney Carrie Ganci-Clodi has served as a Director of Special Education in variously-sized school districts and Special Education Cooperatives. In addition to her role in the educational sector, Ms. Ganci-Clodi is licensed to practice law in both Illinois and Indiana. Through her independent law firm, Carrie practices in the areas of disability law, estate planning, family law, guardianships, and educational advocacy. Additionally, Carrie is a trained mediator and has taught for Olivet University since 2005. Ms. Ganci-Clodi teaches classes in special education methodologies and pedagogy, data analysis, educational leadership, curriculum and instruction, and English as a Second Language. Recently, Carrie wrote the curriculum for a class in Olivet's newly founded special education department.
Professionally, Carrie prefers to help lead change. For over twenty years, Ms. Ganci-Clodi has served on different Board of Directors and has supported interests at the state and federal level. Currently, Carrie sits on the Executive Board for Illinois Alliance of Administrators of Special Education (IAASE), Harbor House of Kankakee and Iroquois Counties, and the Rotarian Club in Pontiac, Illinois. Ms. Ganci-Clodi presents on a consistent basis and serves regularly as a guest speaker for different types of professional organizations.
Personally, Carrie is in the process of raising three amazing young adults. Two of Carrie's children have received special education services which gives her a unique and close look into the field in which she advocates. With this personal background, Carrie is able to interweave her experiences as an advocate for her own children with her expertise in the field to analyze strong solutions for each diverse scenario presented by parents and families.
